There are many interesting ideas on modifying your vehicle. So, why not trying to give your car a new look?

Modified cars – give your vehicle a new look!
Modified car is a car that has been equipped with new components after it was sold. This term refers usually to modern cars. The most common areas of modification involve:

1) Interior modification

Its aim is to improve the inferior aesthetics of the vehicle. For instance, modified cars have the backseat removed in order to place the stereo system at the back. Or the other way round – car owners place the backseat in order to carry more passengers. Some drivers replace upholstery with a more luxurious one. That is why, there are more and more shops that offer interior tuning products.

2) Body modification

It includes modification of a body kit and spoilers. Modified cars often have their body work components replaced with the ones of lighter materials to decrease the weight of the vehicle and to make its aerodynamic performance better. Nevertheless, all the changes in a body of a vehicle are made to improve its exterior appearance. Another aim of body modification is to lower the centre of gravity and, thus, improve the safety of vehicle.

3) Suspension modification

This comprises tuning of sway bars, shock absorbers and springs. This kind of modification is done in order to reduce body roll of the car during cornering or to lower the centre of gravity. That kind of modification is often implemented in case of offroad cars - to lengthen the suspension and to soar ground clearance. Drivers who own models with pneumatic suspensions tend to adjust the height of wheels by rams what makes it possible for the wheels to bounce.

4) Engine modification

This term means replacing engine components with their newer versions that have the same functions but increase the power of the engine. The parts that are replaced are, for instance, air filters, turbochargers or cooling units. Sometimes manual transmission is replaced with the automatic one. In some cases even the whole engine is replaced.

5) Car Audio modification

Modified cars frequently have a stereo or DVD system. This kind of modification is popular particularly with young people who enjoy listening to loud music while driving a car. There are numerous ideas for car audio tuning. Sometimes even the whole car has to be adjusted to the new audio or DVD equipment!
